How to be cool* on Tumblr
Fill your blog with hundreds of photos of yourself, yet claim you hate how you look. Get your tits out and take photos. Call yourself a pansexual, because bisexual isn’t ‘cool’ anymore. Call yourself tumblr famous. Make out to everyone in your bio that you’re a fucking cunt and everyone hates you. Post upside down cross pictures daily. Make sure you say that you love...

Fanboys!
I see Android users attacking Apple fans daily, rare that I see it the other way around, not that I’m implying the majority of users are fanboys or anything. And yes I do read articles and websites to do with both so no point in telling me I’m wrong, this is purely what I witness. Likely I’ll be told ‘Apple gets more hate because they suck’ or some stupid fanboy crap....

Pay To Stay
parislemon: I’ve been thinking more about Google’s renewal of their search deal with Mozilla for Firefox. It’s fascinating on a few different levels. Most notably: Google is committing close to a billion dollars to bankroll a browser which is a rival to their own browser.  Why? Well, on the surface, they do get something out of the deal — something quite substantial. Firefox is a browser...

Who are you to tell someone they aren't a...
I’ve heard things like this a lot recently: “Just because you use Instagram doesn’t make you a photographer’ or ‘If you just use automatic mode you aren’t a photographer’. People who say these things annoy the hell out of me. Anyone with a camera can be a photographer, it doesn’t mean they are a professional or even the slightest bit good at it...

Apple Founding Document Auctions for $1.6 Million →
Sotheby’s had put a pre-auction estimate of up to $150,000 on the lot, and tweeted the result of what was said to be a sparsely attended auction. Bidding started at $70,000 but crested at $1 million after only 10 minutes, CNN Money reported. The winning bid was $1.35 million and, with the auction fee, the total is just shy of $1.6 million. The winning bid came from an unidentified telephone...

PlayStation Vita plays it smart with phone-like... →
The Vita’s menu navigates exactly as you’d imagine it might — like a smartphone. The rig’s 5-inch touchscreen provided plenty of real estate for the requisite swiping navigation, serving up a crisp view of the system’s lightly animated menu. Apps and menu items line the home screen in alternating rows of three and four icons per line, allowing ten icons per screen....

P.S. it's not a Vita: Yinlips' Android-based... →
Don’t call it a KIRF — it’s a Yinlips ”Android Smart Game Player.” Which is to say, it’s an Xperia Play-like experience wrapped in PS Vita clothing. This is pretty funny, is there anything someone from China won’t rip off? It’s like an original PSP thats been crapped up.

iPad 3 coming in 3-4 months? →
3-4 months is pretty much inline with the usual release schedule of iPads so this seems likely. What I am hoping for is a higher resolution display. Nothing wrong with the current one but I’m always glad to get back to my iPhone 4 once I’ve been on the iPad. What do you want from the next iPad? Let me know: Tweet to @xstex ]]>

Jawbone Up failure rate
All the complaints about the Jawbone Up have totally put me off. Seems like the failure rate is ridiculous. A shame really, looked like a neat device on paper, but seems like it breaks often and isn’t accurate at all. I hope they improve it. If you have one and it’s actually been perfect please let me know on Twitter.

tinyletter, should I do a newsletter?
Never thought about doing a newsletter until I came across tinyletter today, I may try it, if anyone is interested is another thing really. If I do get around to it then it will mainly consist of the best links from around the web to do with technology and social media (including some of my own of course) that I find in the week, pretty much the usual.
