Letterpress for iOS

The game itself is 6,346 lines of code, far fewer than Brichter’s last — Tweetie 2 — which exceeded 50,000 lines of code. Letterpress’s interface is barren compared to most iOS apps, favoring natural-feeling animations at the expense of typical tricks like drop shadows, sliding menus, and panes that fold open.

I’ve been waiting for Loren Brichter to bring something new to the table and while I wasn’t expecting a game like Letterpress, I do really enjoy it. It’s super easy to play, it’s addictive and the UI is lovely.

Three things to think about for whether or not a gadget, app, or any other product is worth your continued investment of use and money

Great post by Shawn Blanc that hits the nail on the head.

Exactly why native is still the best way to go. The app is so much better now.
